The Minority Business Development Agency of the Dept. of Commerce will be
hiring a Business Development Specialist for up to a year to work with
flood-impacted businesses.  This position would work closely with the Cedar
Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce to help businesses to develop short and
long-term business plans, to identify potential funding resources and help
with associated paperwork, to assist with financial planning, to give
individual coaching, and to provide overall recovery and
rebuilding support.  This individual needs to understand the entrepreneurial
nature of business owners, the ways in which business might succeed and have
a strong business-oriented background.
