National radio commentator, writer, public speaker, and author of the
forthcoming book, Swim Against The Current:  Even a Dead Fish Can Go With
the Flow, Jim Hightower has spent three decades battling the Powers That Be
on behalf of the Powers That Ought to Be—consumers, working families,
environmentalists, small businesses, and just plain folks.  A fiery and
funny speaker, Hightower is a populist road warrior whose previous books
include Thieves in High Places: They've Stolen Our Country and It's Time to
Take It Back.

Proceeds from this event will go toward the  Iowa Citizen Action Network
Education Foundation's non-partisan voter registration and mobilization
program. Please help ICANEF continue and expand this important effort by
joining us on May 2.
