[Pacg] DNR Program Offers $25 Trees

The Iowa DNR Forestry Bureau is partnering with MidAmerican Energy and the
Scott County Conservation Board to offer 6-8 ft tall landscape trees for
MidAmerican Energy customers (Iowa residents only) to plant on their
property for $25/tree.

The program is called Plant Some Shade. Up to 2 trees are allowed per
household, and interested persons should order ahead of time.  *Those
reserving tree(s) should plan to pick up their tree(s) on Thursday, April
17, 2008, between 4 and 6:30 p.m. at West Lake Park , 14910  110th Ave. in
Davenport.*  There are 4 species and a total of 325 trees available.  An
order form is attached.  People can get more information by going to
www.midamericanenergy.com/plantsomeshade or calling the Scott County
Conservation Board at 563-328-3280.  As we get closer to the event, please
keep in mind the time required to order through US mail, and consider
dropping off your order form and check at the Scott County Conservation
Board office.
