[Pacg] Photos of our Vigil at Grassley's today, September 21st

[Carolina 1961]

Thank you to everyone who participated in our peace vigil at Senator
Grassley's downtown Davenport office today (see pictures attached).

Collectively, and throughout the day, approximately 25 people participated
from PACG. Amy Logsdon with ICAN, Sue Dinsdale and Jeremy Jansen of the Iraq
Campaign, and John Tuzcu of the American Friends Service Committee
also joined us. John brought the AFSC Cost of War banners which we situated
on each corner (a great visual) and Sue and Jeremy donated 50 red and
white "Support
the Troops, End the War" signs and about 100 bumper stickers that say "Help
End the War Senator Grassley."   They will be at the PACG office - let me
know if you want them or just come by and get them. In enchange, we gave our
peace-loving neighbors from central Iowa some of our PACG yard signs. Thank
you very much for coming and for sharing Amy, Sue, Jeremy and John!

Citizens visited with Senator Grassley's staff, expressing their concerns
and calling for our Senator to help bring this war to an end.

Print and TV media were at the event early on... please let us know if you
saw any coverage of the vigil.

Rachel Griffiths, Rev Rich Hendricks, Monica Kurth, Rev Roger Butts and Lisa
Killinger shared words of peace and love and expressed the deep grief that
weighs so heavy on our hearts due to the loss of so many brothers and
sisters to this war!

*We hope to see many more of you tomorrow at the Figge. If you plan on
coming to the morning events, and plan to be there early, please bring some
donuts, muffins, or bagels to share. Coffee will be provided and will be set
up in a studio down the hall from the auditorium. You must enter through the
Main entrance (2nd st) as the Figge does not open to the public until 10am.
