Friends,

Our Young leaders will gather for our final working meeting prior to our big
*Back-To-School-Bash and Young Leaders Conference next Saturday, Sept 29th,
from 11am to 6pm at Scott Community College in Bettendorf.*

Please feel free to join us *this* *Sunday, Sept 23rd at Mojo's Cafe and
Coffee House in the River Music Experience at 2nd & Main St in Davenport -
4:00pm.*

This is a very big event and we could sure use your help...
We are in need of at least *10 adult volunteers* to help out the day of the
event... please let me know if you would be willing to help out any of these
times: *9:30 - Noon, Noon to 3, and 3 to 6pm*.

Many of you may have seen our recent ad in the September 12th edition of the
River Cities Reader... Thanks to the awesome work of one of our Young
Leaders, the QC Times has generously donated 3 additional ads which will run
in Saturday's Sports section, Sunday's puzzle page, and next Thursday's Go
section. They have also agreed to pay for most of the cost of the food.
There will also be an announcement about our event on the lighted marquee in
front of Brady St Stadium all next week running up to the event, Four radio
stations will be making public service announcements; KALA, B100, WVIK and
Groove 92.5.

Our amazing Young Leaders and other wonderful volunteers have also received
donations for Symphony tickets, ballet tickets, gift certificates, spa
certificates, free massages, hair cuts, gift baskets, and more... we are
working hard to acquire many more... If you can help with this effort, it
would be very much appreciated. Let me know and I can provide you with a
donation request letter that explains the event. Other ideas for donations
include tickets for sporting events, movie theaters, restaurants, CD
players, ipods, electronic and personal organizers, etc... anything that
appeals to young people ages 15 to 30.

Tables are available to PACG forums and other organizations that would like
the opportunity to network with 200+ young people in our community. Since
the purpose of this event is to encourage civic involvement, we want to
provide the future leaders of our community with good resources -- please
let me know if you would like to reserve a table. There is no charge but we
would welcome a donation of $20 or so to help us with our budget.

It would be terrific if we had a big banner for the event.... please
contact me with your ideas.

We will have two 15 passenger vans on standby to provide transportation to
anyone who needs a ride in both Iowa and Illinois - we need
2 volunteer drivers - please let me know if you are willing to be one of
them.

As we are asking our Young Leaders to invest in their community, we also ask
you to take this opportunity to invest in our Young Leaders ;-)

*Re-cap on how you can help:*

1. Volunteer for the event
2. Donations for raffle
3. Reserve a table / provide information resources
4. Provide banner for the event
5. Volunteer to drive

And most importantly,* talk it up!*

Thanks for all you do!!
