*Thursday, September 20th:*

*Weekly Peace Vigil:*

Join PACG Peace forum activists and other concerned citizens as we stand for
Peace and against this war!

4:30pm to 5:30pm
In front of the Texas Road House restaurant in Davenport - Corner of E 53rd
and Corporate Row Dr (across from cinemas)

*Vigil for Peace in Darfur:*
*
*The world needs to remember Darfur.  Students from my Modern Africa class
at SAU will be sponsoring a vigil for Darfur on Thursday, September 20, at *
5:30pm*. The event will last about 45 minutes and will include info on
history of the crisis presented by the students, a time for
prayer/remembrance, and a call to action and letterwriting. *It will be held
in the St Ambrose University Chapel* and cosponsored by our Amnesty group,
Campus Ministry, and our Women's Studies Honor Society.

I hope you will be able to join us and please spread the word!!  (If you
would like to participate in some way, please let me know).

*Peace Vigil at Senator Grassley's Davenport office (3rd & Main )*

*Noon – 6pm *
**
Senator Grassley has been a consistent supporter of the war. Citizens will
be gathering inside and outside of his office, reading the names of the dead
and sharing our feelings with his staff. There will be singing, praying,
silent reflection, and calling for an end to the war.

*Noon to 8 PM   *
**
Prayer vigil open to all at St. James Lutheran, 3145 31st Ave, Rock Island,
IL. Make a pinwheel for peace and bring it along. To learn more, go to

Christian) will be promoting peace during their services at this time. *
