*ACTION ALERT:*

September is end the war month. Everyone needs to do something this month to
end the war. For the passionate, do something every week. For those of you
dealing with anger at all the outrages or fear over the possibility of Bush
bombing Iran doing something every DAY will help channel those powerful
emotions in a positive direction.

Today you might want to check out Jay Elias' beautiful letter to Harry Reid,
on the recommended list at DailyKos. At the end of the letter are Senator
Reid's phone and fax numbers. Call him up and talk to his staff.

You'll see my comment - about 90 down - suggesting a way we might hold
Democrats accountable on the war. Another thing you could do this week is
come to our Link-Up on Friday at 6 pm at the Front Street Brewery in
Davenport. Besides having a good time, the agenda includes planning a
response to the administration's report on progress in Iraq post-splurge and
discussing ideas for holding Democrats accountable on the war.
