[Pacg] Reminder: HealthCare Reform at 6pm; Peace Forum at 7pm Tonight

This is just a friendly reminder of the following meetings tonight at the
Davenport Unitarian Church:


The PACG Health Care Reform forum meets tonight at 6pm

The PACG Peace forum meets at 7pm


There is a lot going on in both of these forums. Our leaders could use your
help -- plug in where you can!

Both of these forums were represented in yesterday's East Moline Labor Day
parade.

Two eleven year old boys carried a large purple banner (Iowa for Healthcare)
promoting Health Care for Kids, particularly important at this time when the
President has threatened to veto bi-partisan legislation to fund SCHIP.

Peace forum volunteers also walked in the parade holding our yard signs --
there were only 15 of us but we made a big impact on the crowd - they loved
our signs - we gave many of them out along the way. The crowd appauded our
contingent as we came through - it was very encouraging! We also sold more
signs at the Labor Day picnic.

*SHOUT-OUT* to all the volunteers who walked the entire (very long) parade
route on a very hot day! Thanks for being there!
