Once again, it's time for our Community meeting. I hope you will be able to
join us tomorrow as we have much to share with you all.

Social gathering at Kelly's Pub after the meeting at 8:15pm, 2222 E 53rd St
in Davenport (around the corner from the church).

October Agenda:

As always, forum leaders will report on ongoing activities within the issue
forums and this month we welcome Steve Drucker, who will be giving a brief
presentation on Recovery Management. Steve will share her experiences and
revelations as a Recovery Therapist. Although we have treatment centers in
our community, traditional treatment is not enough -- there have been new
cutting edge developments in recovery, termed Recovery Management. Each of
us knows of someone who is suffering from addiction which is a community
problem. Come listen and learn about what we can do do to make a difference.


On a lighter note, in the spirit of this very creative time of the year, we
would like to provide you all with a few "treats" to gobble down with some
hot Fair Exchange coffee... so we need volunteers to bring something
creative and yummy to share - call me if you are willing to bring a treat:

Other items on the agenda include:

Massive peace rallies in both Chicago and Des Moines this Saturday Oct 27th
- please support these peaceful initiatives which will be happening in many
major cities across the country the same day. This would be a good
opportunity to hook up with others who want to car pool to these events.

Plans for our upcoming Spiritual Progressives Conference and PACG Fall
Summit - this is going to be an amazing and very memorable summit!
Registrations are starting to roll in from all over Iowa and Illinois so you
might want to get your name on the roster ASAP!

We will also be discussing plans for the organization moving into the new
year... we really need your input and feedback. If you have not yet filled
out the survey which was included in our September newsletter, please do so
and bring it to the meeting tomorrow - we welcome and value your insight.

Please note: The PACG Community meeting in November falls on Thanksgiving so
we will be moving the November meeting to the 5th Thursday which is November
29th - same time and place. We will be posting more details about the
November meeting on our website so stay tuned.
