Every year I attend the International Food Festival. These dishes are exactly like the food made by the people of these countries. It is not college cafeteria food. It is an elegant dining affair, but jeans and sweat shirts are well received. The cost is a bargain, but the company is priceless. Augie has so many international faculty, their families, and many of the international students will be there. I am always making a bee-line for a table stacked with as much diversity as I can. I will warn you it is a popular event, so be there early. Come late and a seat is hard to find.
Hope to see you there.
In peace,
Patti

The week of January 22nd has been designated as International Week at Augustana College. You are cordially invited to join us.
Below are two events that are open to the public.

8:00 pm - Our Neighbors' Eyes: The Stories in Which We Find Ourselves --- Global Engagement as Learning for Life and a Foundation for Life-Long Learning - Dr. Paul Robinson, Director of the Human Needs and Global Resources Program at Wheaton College.
Dr. Robinson writes: I was born in the "Belgian" Congo. For more than five decades, my life experiences have been largely centered in Africa, and in much of what we call the "Global South," where I have had the privilege of learning from other cultures. For almost three decades, I have also had the privilege of sharing that learning with students through cross-cultural learning and service educational programs. What have we learned?
