The agendas for these workshops will include information on what a
comprehensive plan is and the purpose it serves and also background on what
the goals and policies of the existing Scott County Development Plan are and
what that plan has accomplished in the last 25 years. The workshops will
discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the county along with the threats
and opportunities that will face Scott County over the next 25 years.
The Planning Commission will use the input from these workshops to recommend
policies and criteria on how Scott County will address issues related to
development in the unincorporated areas of the County. The final adoption of
the plan will be made by the Scott County Board of Supervisors.
