*"Healing Waters:  I Will Carry My Sister's Pain", the performance which
highlights the stories of domestic violence survivors and is performed by
those survivors, will be presented on Friday, February 23rd at the Martin
Luther King Center in Rock Island.  The performance begins at 6:30 p.m.*

*The performance will serve as a benefit for the children of LaShaune
Wright, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend on New Year's Day in Rock Island.
A suggested donation of $5.00 is requested.*

*In addition, several area pastors have declared Sunday, February 25th as
"Safe Sunday" and will speak about domestic violence from the pulpit that
Sunday.*
