*This email is from Iowans for Sensible Priorities regarding a training on
how to ask questions of presidential candidates in the upcoming caucus
appearances. Their main issue is addressing federal budget priorities,
though I assume their training could be useful for others who have other
issue interests. Their QC training is on Saturday Feb 17. You will need to
contact http://www.sensibleiowans.org/events.php to register and for more
information.*

Are you interested in learning how you can help make a difference in this
year's Caucuses? In just a couple of hours you can develop the skills you
need to question the presidential candidates about their priorities. The
next time a candidate is in Iowa, you'll be ready to find out how they plan
to fund all the promises they are making.

The first-in-the-nation Caucuses give Iowans a unique opportunity to meet
and question many of the presidential candidates. It gives us the ability
to shape the national agenda in a way that's unmatched anywhere in the
country. The Iowa Caucuses are *our* chance to get the candidates to address
the need for sensible federal budget priorities.

Have you ever heard the term "bird-dogging"? It's a hunting term referring
to a dog flushing out birds for the hunter. Although we're not hunting
candidates, we are trying to "flush out" their positions on important
issues, trying to get as specific as possible.

We're going to let the presidential candidates know what is most important
to us by flooding their Iowa events with volunteers asking serious questions
about the federal budget.

We're hosting workshops across the state to give you the skills and tools
you need to be an effective bird-dogger. Help us spread the word by signing
up for a training and forwarding this message to your friends or neighbors
who may be interested.

You have the chance to let the Presidential candidates know what your
priorities are. Let's make them listen to us in 2007!
