I wanted each of you to know how enjoyable and powerful is the music planned
for this Saturday by Chamber Music Quad Cities. The holiday concert is this
*Saturday, Dec 29th at the Unitarian Church at 7:30 p.m.* I can think of no
better way to end the hectic holiday season than with a bit of reflective,
meditative, beautiful and compelling chamber music. The concert will be
eclectic and as I sit in my office listening to rehearsals--wow! What a
treat. I encourage you to spread the word and attend if this is your kind of
thing!

*A bit about this event:*

The new artistic director of Chamber Music Quad Cities is Moline native and
violinist David Bowlin. He will be joined by violist Beth Guterman, harpist
Bridget Kibby and flutist Conor Nelson. Guterman is a member of the Chamber
Music Society of Lincoln Center II. Kibbey is a winner of the 2007 Concert
Artist Guild competition and has recorded with Dawn Upshaw. Nelson is the
winnter of the 2007 Minnesota Orchestra competition, and will solo with the
orchestra next season. Bowlin, a first prize winner of the Washington
International Competition, has recently been appointed to the faculty of the
Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $10.00
