Friends,

Many initiatives are underway intended to increase pressure on our
legislators to stop funding Bush's war and to begin the process of bringing
the troops home - we need *YOUR* help to have the impact that we seek --
find out what you can do to help... please join us at our *next Peace Forum
meeting on Tuesday, September 4th, 7pm at the Davenport Unitarian Church.*

We still have plenty of yard signs on hand as well as a few window decals -
$3 each. In addition, we are still looking for high traffic areas to mount
our larger 4' x 4' handpainted signs (light blue background resembling the
sky with dark blue lettering). *Looking for homes for all of the above --

*WE NEED WALKERS* for the East Moline Labor Day Parade next Monday Sept 3rd
-- We want to have a large peace contingent walking together holding our
yard signs... so far a dozen folks have responded -- *we only need 88 more
volunteers!*  Please consider the impact this will have... we have been
'laboring' on behalf of peace since the inception of PACG and for many,
since before the war began... momentum has been building... it's time for
this wave to crest... *it's tsunami time!!* Call Caroline if you are willing
