*PACG gathered again last Sunday as the PACG Young Leaders Forum in the
ballroom at the Rogalksi Center--a beautiful space--on the St. Ambrose
campus.*

*We will meet again on Sunday, May 6th, 5 PM at St Ambrose University, Hayes
Bldg (near the Chapel) Room 113 (St Ambrose campus is facing Locust St
between Harrison and Gaines St).

*
*Call Caroline at 563-676-7580 for info or if you need a ride.*

WE had another great diverse group of young people...from 15 yr old's to
20-something's. Many schools were represented, as well as young working
adults.

We talked about *how to reach more young people*. Suggestions included
talking to teachers/professors who give extra credit for community
involvement; campus newspapers; contact with other young service groups;
contact with other students groups at various schools; QCAD; posing leaflets
at libraries, coffee shops and schools, and seeing if we can get a hold of
the mailing list for the annual QC youth conference.

Caroline will send out hard copy leaflets for people to circulate and
post...let her know if you need some if you were not at the meeting.
(Please note the flyer is attached in a JPEG format)

We introduced each other with information about our grandparents--where they
came from and what they did.

We talked about the Fall Back to School Conference and Bash (which will be
the main focus of our planning for the next few months) , and reviewed the
other issues the forum wants to work on ---
racism, military issues, gang problems and violence, immigration, health
care, cost of higher education and others.

St. Ambrose senior Allison Travis gave a presentation on research she had
done on MTV support for students and student groups..that information is
below.

*Please tell all the young people you know 15-30 about this great and fun
opportunity to get active and develop their leadership skills*

Thanks,
