Join the PEACE ON EARTH Vigil - every Saturday from 11am to noon - 16th &

Earth Day Apr 22nd:
After a long winter's sleep, the grounds of the Unitarian church need a
little sprucing up - in appreciation of the generous use of the church
facility, it would be great if PACG-ers could lend a hand - if you feel like
strolling the beautiful grounds to help clear any debris left from winter's
wake, join us at 1pm.
After that, take time to relax in the Lounge from 2 to 5pm and tune into "Who
Owns Nature" a film and speech by Robert Kennedy Jr- discussion follows.

Young Leaders, ranging from 15 to 30 are coming together to plan a huge
Back-to-School Bash and Young Leaders Conference on September 29th in order
to raise awareness about the issues THEYcare about. All young people welcome
to join us at the Rogalski Center, St Ambrose University, 5:00pm - Free

Monday, April 23rd:
Kick-Off Cover the Uninsured Week Monday, Apr 23rd, 6:30pm - Join us in the
Lounge of the Unitarian Church as we watch "Collateral Damage: Bad Medicine
in Tennessee" an emotionally gripping film about what happens to real people
when they lose their health care coverage. Discussion and organized action
to follow. The Handprints Project will also be there so if you haven't given
us your handprint, please do so! We've collected yet another very important
handprint to help advance our cause - come see who it's from. For more info

The PACG Civil Rights forum meets at 7pm at the Metropolitan Community
Church, 30th & Harrison in Davenport. Forum members will be discussing the
fate of the Civil Rights bill currently before the legislature, and
continuing to organize small groups who are interested in hosting dinners as
an outgrowth of the Hands Across the Table for Racial Healing potluck last

Tuesday, April 24th
Everyone welcome to attend the Reclaiming Moral Values meeting at the
Unitarian church at 6:30pm. This forum is working on planning a forum on the
Four Faces of God on June 2nd and the Spiritual Progressives Conference on
November 10th.
Wednesday, April 25th
Don't miss Part 4 of Spike Lee's, "When the Levees Broke" - film and
discussion series about the impact of Hurrican Katrina. This film depicts an
honest but disturbing portrait of poverty & racisim in the aftermath of the
storm. 6:30pm in the Lounge of the Davenport Unitarian Church
Thursday, April 26th:
A special PACG Community meeting you won't want to miss this Thursday, Apr
26th - a workshop on "Our Common Values," facilitated by Phillip Cryan of
Iowa Citizens Action Network - 6:30pm, downstairs in the Social Hall of the
Davenport Unitarian Church. Everyone welcome, ivite a friend! This is a
dynamic workshop! If you haven't made it to a meeting in a while, this is
one you will want to make it a point to attend!
