[Pacg] PACG Civil Rights forum meets Next Monday, Apr 23rd

Hi, friends, The *PACG Civil Rights Forum will meet next Monday, April 23 at
7 PM* at the Metro Community Church at 30th and Harrison in Davenport.

We will be talking about scheduling more *small potlucks for Hands Across
the Table for racial healing*.  We have a list of potential hosts and will
make plans and delegate responsibility for getting these potlucks
scheduled.
We will also have an *update of the status of the Civil Rights
legislation*extending coverage to the GLBT community...it has passed
in the Iowa Senate
but is hung up in the House.  We will keep you posted on that.
We will also talk about an event *planned **to celebrate the gift of
diversity in Quad Citians living in multi-ethnic families.* It will take
place on Saturday, June 9, from 4-7 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock
Island.  We have been asked to be a co-sponsor.
