Medicare is supposed to help people who can't afford high drug prices. Right
now, however, drug companies, not the people who need treatment, are
benefiting from the system.

Why? The government has barred Medicare from negotiating reasonable prices
for treatments, which is how other healthcare plans keep prices low.

*Tell your Senators to give price-negotiating power to Medicare. Sign the

The House of Representatives passed a bill that would give Medicare the
power to bargain for lower drug prices. *Now it's the Senate's turn to
act.*It is past time to bring drug costs under control and reduce the
financial
strain that these costs place on the daily lives of millions of older
Americans.

The pharmaceutical lobby is working to stop this bill that would help lower
drug prices. * We need to fight back and make sure that Senators know that
the people at home want them to stand up to the drug
companies!<http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/966363971>

Thank you for helping to make life-saving medications affordable for
everyone.
